Ralph Wetterhahn won the March 8, 2010
guesstimate race with a perfect guess.
It was the first time he has won a guesstimate tile. Rounding out the top five were: Randy Parker 2- 4 second miss, David Rusher
3- 5 second miss, John Araujo 4- 8 second miss and 5- Randy Emenaker and David
Smith 5- 10 second miss.
JOHN ARAUJO WINS 5K AS MOST RUNNERS

John
Araujo won our 296th lunch hour 5K on March 8, 2010 5K in a time of
17:58. John has now won 41 lunch
hour 5K’s.
This is the 30th straight 5K won by either John Araujo or
Dave Parsel. John Araujo, Jr. won the 5K
in August 2007, 31 races go.
Rounding
out the top five were: Dave Parsel 2-19:00,
Randy Parker 3- 20:11, Kie Soohoo 4- 20:22 and James Kalasky 5- 20:24.
Emma Garcia-Callga lowered her
personal best (PB) by 1:02 to lead five runners establishing PB’s. The other 4 with their PB improvement were:
Glenn Arabori (31 seconds), Mark Miyahara (18 seconds), Bernie Kress (8
seconds) and Frank Nogales) (4 seconds).
We had 45 runners this month, the most since 63 ran in our 250th
race in March 2005. Before that we
didn’t have more than 45 runners until you go back to February 2003 when we had
51 runners. Looks like we are gearing up
for our 300th race in July 2010!!
The next 5K is scheduled for 11:50 AM Monday, April 12th at Gate 510.
SEAL BEACH 5K/10K IS APRIL

The annual Seal Beach 5K/10K is April 10, 2010, two days prior to out
monthly lunch hour 5K. Be at the tennis
courts at 7:40 AM for our annual group picture.
