DAVE PARSEL WINS JUNE 2008 5K IN 17:36

      Dave Parsel won the June 9, 2008 5K in a time of 17:36.  Dave has now won 92 lunch hour 5K’s.   Rounding out the top five were:  John Araujo 2- 18:52, Tim Hickok 3- 19:33, David Hicks 4- 19:40 and Troy Belme 5- 19:58.

          Three runners established personal bests.  They were Alison Mejia who lowered her Personal Best by 1:08, Tiffany Forster who lowered her PB by 47 seconds and Preston Ferguson who lowered his PB by 2 seconds.

     Thanks to Brian Bousman for running his first lunch hour 5K since August 1986. The 22 years is probably a record for the longest period between races. 

     Congratulations to Dave Parsel for being the 12th runner to run 100 lunch hour 5K’s. 

     The next 5K is scheduled for 11:50 AM Monday, July 14, 2008 at Gate 510.

 

AEROSPACE WINS TEAM EVENT

      The team results were as follows:

       Huntington Beach did not qualify for the team event as they did not have five runners.

       Aerospace and Anaheim are tied 3-3 for the 2008 series. 

       Aerospace now leads Corporate in the cum series 156-73-13.

      Anaheim was led by John Araujo 2- 18:52, David Hicks 4- 19:40, Kie Soohoo 7- 20:46, Jim Heller 8- 20:59, Preston Ferguson 9- 22:03.  Aerospace was paced by: Dave Parsel 1- 17:36, Todd Belme 5- 19:58, Mark Miyahara 15- 25:49, Drew McGarity 19- 27:02 and Darryl Braganza 22- 28:37.  Corporate was led by: Rich Terrell 12- 23:27, Todd Byers 13- 25:08, Oliver Black 20- 27:25, Katherine Rupley 27- 31:00 and Nelson Slagle 34- 46:27.   Huntington Beach’s four runners were Brian Werner 6- 20:10, Peter Lew 11- 22:39, Tony Trujillo 17- 26:23 and Brian Bousman 21- 28:30.

 

AEROSPACE WINS MIXED TEAM EVENT

     Aerospace won the June 9, 2008  mixed team event with 129 places and a total team  time of 152:16.  No other team had 5 runners to qualify for the event.

     Aerospace leads Corporate in the 2008 series 5-1.

     Aerospace leads Corporate in the cum series 119-56-51

     Aerospace’s 5 runners were:, Alison Mejia 22- 28:37, Elke Rodas 24- 28:50, Ralph Wetterhahn 26- 29:44, Garland Smith 28 32:07 and Diana Law 29- 33:42.                       Anaheim’s three runner were Yihfa Wang 16- 26:16, Rick Salas 18- 26:53 and Chi-Wang Chang 24- 28:52.
