DAVE PARSEL WINS AUGUST 5K IN 17:15

      Dave Parsel won his 77th 5K in a time of 17:15 on August 8, 2005.  This is the 42nd time in the last 45 races that Dave has won.  Rounding out the top five were:  John Araujo 2- 17:42, Tim Hickok 3- 18:53,  Nabil Daoud 4- 1931 and James Kalasky 5- 20:11.

     Terralee Parkinson led four runners setting personal bests by lowering her PB by 3:18.  Chi-Wang Chang lowered his PB by 1:56, Nabil Daoud reduced his PB by 30 seconds and Codrin Mihai lowered his PB by 3 seconds.

     Seven runners have ran all 8 races in 2005.  They are as follows with consecutive races run in parenthesis:  Peter Lew (76), Nelson Slagle (57), Emmett Rahl (39), Jim Heller (31), Dave Parsel (26), Tony Trujillo (19) and Jim Scianni (10).

      Amazingly, Anaheim had 11 runners to 9 for Aerospace in Seal Beach, Corporate had 7 runners, Other (non Boeing) had 5 and Huntington Beach 5.  The only team more than 3 miles from Seal Beach had the most runners!

     The next 5K will be on September 12, 2005  at 11:50 AM.

 

ANAHEIM WINS TEAM EVENT

      Anaheim won the team event with total places of 29 and total team time of 100:06.  Second was Corporate with 85 places and a team time of 118:35.  Huntington Beach was tied for 3rd with 100 places and a team time of 127:00.   Aerospace was tied for 3rd with 113 places and a time of 126.57.  The 2005 standings are: Huntington Beach 4.5 wins to Anaheim’s 3 and Corporates .5.   Aerospace leads Corporate in the cum series 137-71-13. 

      Anaheim was paced by John Araujo 2- 17:42, Nabil Daoud 4- 19:31, James Kalasky 5- 20:11, Brian Madrid 6- 20:23 and Yihfa Wang 12- 22:19.  Corporate was led by Todd Byers 8- 21:09, Codrin Mihai 11- 22:05, Tim Sydlowski 19- 24:29, Tim Hood 21- 24:52, and Ralph Castro 26- 26:00.    Huntington Beach runners were: Dave Parsel 1- 17:15, Peter Lew 14- 23:06, John Nguyen 23- 25:20, Garland Smith 30- 29:52 and Dennis Gunderson 32- 31:27.  Aerospace was paced by:  Mark Calkins 16- 23:29, Graham Anderson 20- 24:36, David Douglas 22- 25:09, Rick Salas 27- 26:35, and Jim Scianni 28- 27:08

 

                                      AEROSPACE WINS MIXED TEAM EVENT

       No team qualified for the mixed team event.   Aerospace leads Corporate in the 2005 series 6.5-1.5 and the cum races 110-56-38.

      Aerospace was paced by:  Ralph Wetterhahn 29- 28:33, Terralee Parkinson 31- 30:39, Tony Trujillo 35- 38:12 and Joan McIntyre 36- 38:25.
