22 BOEING LUNCH HOUR 5K RUNNERS PARTICIPATE IN SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2011
     Twenty-two Boeing Lunch Hour 5K runners ran in the Seal Beach 5K or 10K, 15 of which ran the 10K and 7 of which ran the
Seal Beach 5K on April 2, 2011. Ed Loh was our fastest 10K finisher in  time of 47.00.  David Hicks ran the fastest
5K time of 19:10.  Dave Hicks was 2nd in his age group and 11th overall,  Ed Loh was 2nd in his age group and Joe Rosenthal was. 
was 5th in his age group.
     There were a record number of participants in  the Seal Beach 10K race.  1703 finished the 10K vs 1675 last year.  The
1917 5K runners was also a record which was 5 more than in 2009.  The 896 walkers was a record as was the  4516 total participants. 
     The three runners with the longest consecutive races run are: Nelson Slagle 35 races,  Rich Terrell with 6 races and Steve Kent with
4 races.

16 BOEING LUNCH HOUR 5K RUNNERS PARTICIPATE IN SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2010
     Sixteen Boeing Lunch Hour 5K runners ran in the Seal Beach 5K or 10K, 7 of which ran the 10K and 9 of which ran the
Seal Beach 5K on April 10, 2010. Todd Byers was our fastest 10K finisher in  time of 47.55.  David Hicks ran the fastest
5K time of 19:25.  Dave Hicks was 2nd in his age group, . Ann Tack was 3rd in her age group,  Linda Taylor was 4th in
her age group and Randy Emenaker was 5th in his age group..
     There were a record number of participants in  the Seal Beach 10K race.  1675 finished the 10K vs 1576 last year.  The
1883 5K runners was slightly lower than the record 1912 that ran last year. 
     The three runners with the longest consecutive races run are: Nelson Slagle 34 races,, Ed Cohn 8 races and Rich Terrell
5 races.  Nelson didn't finish the the 10K but did score an 8 accoding to witnesses on a swan dive under the PCH bridge.
Did result in a 4 hour Emergency room visit before being released with a clen bill of health.  Details of the event are in

22 BOEING LUNCH HOUR 5K RUNNERS FINISH SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2009
      Thirteen Boeing Lunch Hour 5K runners ran the 10K and 9 runners ran the Seal Beach 5K on April 4, 2009.
Tim Hickok was our fastest 10K finisher in  time of 39:55.  David Hicks ran the fastest 5K time of 19:55.  Linda Taylor 
won her age group, Jim Heller was 2nd in his age group and David Hicks was 3rd in his age group.  Jason Armenta,
Tim Hickok and Ann Tack were all 4th in their age group.   Rich Terrell was 5th in his age group.
       There were a record number of participants in all categories of the Seal Beach race.  1576 finished the 10K,
1912 ran the 5K and 814 walked the 5K for a total of 4202 participants.  
     The three runners with the longest consecutive races run are: Nelson Slagle 33 races, Bob Beachler 9
races and Ed Cohn 7 races.  Nelson finished in 1575th place in the 10K, beating only one runner by 4 minutes!
Rich Terrell has ran 11 of the last 12 Seal Beach races.

23 BOEING LUNCH HOUR 5K RUNNERS FINISH SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2008
     Thirteen Boeing Lunch Hour 5K runners ran the 10K and ten runners ran the Seal Beach 5K on April 5, 2008. 
Ed Loh was our fastest 10K finisher in a time of 43:43.  Jim Heller ran the best 5K time of 20:45.  Ed Loh, Jim
Heller and David Rusher all were first in their age group while Sue Robbins and Liz Burger were 2nd in their
age group.  Randy Emenaker was 3rd in his age group. 
     According to the official results, 1356 runners finished the 10K breaking the record of 1297 in 1998.  The
1678 walkers was also a record.  There were a record 656 walkers and a record of 3690 participants in the 3 events..
     The three runners with the longest consecutive races run are: Nelson Slagle 32 races, Bob Beacher 8
races and Ed Cohn 6 races.

14+ BOEING LUNCH HOUR 5K RUNNERS FINISH SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2007
     More than 4 Boeing runners ran the 5K and more than 10 runners ran the 10K on March 31, 2007.  The race
results only showed 5K runners under 61 minutes and 10K runners under 71 minutes.  I was just getting warmed
up at 71 minutes!  I am not sure if the rest of the times will be posted, thus I decided to publish what I have.  If you
ran and I don't have your time above, please e-mail me your time and I will include.  
       The following runners have ran at least the last 5 races:  Nelson Slagle, last 31 races, Bob Beachler, last 7 races
 and Ed Cohn  last 5 races.

23 BOEING RUNNERS FINISH SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2006
     Twenty-three Boeing or former Rockwell runners finished the Boeing 5K (11)  or 10K (12) run on April 1, 2006.  
Mike Krpan finished first among the Boeing 10K runners with a time of 38:34 good for 16th place.  Tim Hickok led
the 5K runners with a time of 18:18 good for 12th place. Ann Tack, Sue Robbins and Dave Wilson  were first
place finishers in their age category.  Mike Krpan and Mike Morris finished 2nd in their age category and Ed Loh
finished 3rd.  Congrats to all.
     A total of 996 runners finished the 10K, 1060 finished the 5K run and 461 finished the 5K walk.  The total of 2517
runners was just short of the record 2576 that finished the race last year.  There were 3400 registered (including the kids),
but light rain at the start and first couple of miles hurt the turnout.
       The following runners have ran at least the last 4 races:  Nelson Slagle, last 30 races, Bob Beachler, last 6 races
Mark Calkins, last 5 races and Andrew Coates, and Ed Cohn have finished the last 4 races.

21 BOEING RUNNERS IN APRIL 9, 2005 SEAL BEACH 10K/5K
     Twenty-one Boeing runners finished the Boeing 5K (8)  or 10K (13) run on April 9, 2005.  This was identical to the
count in 2004. Mike Krpan finished first among the Boeing 10K runners with a time of 39:35 good for 25th place.  Tim
Hickok led the 5K runners with a time of 18:14 good for 3rd place. Ann Tack was the lone first place finisher in her
age category.  Ed Loh, David Hicks, Sue Robbins, Mike Morris and Tim Hickok were all 2nd in their age category. 
Emmett Rahl and Mike Krpan were 3rd in their age
     A total of 958 runners finished the 10K, 1137 finished the 5K run and 481 finished the 5K walk.  The total of 2576
is the most ever to participate in the race.  The 958 running the 10K was the most since 1100 ran in 1993.  This was the
31st annual Seal Beach run. 
       The following runners have ran at least the last 4 races:  Nelson Slagle, last 29 races, Bob Beachler, last 5 races
Mark Calkins, last 4 races and Linda Dobson, last 4 races.

21 BOEING RUNNERS FINISH SEAL BEACH 5K OR 10K RUN IN 2004
     Twenty-one Boeing runners finished the Boeing 5K (8)  or 10K (13) run on April 3, 2004.  Ed Loh finished first among the
Boeing 10K runners with a time of 44:16.  David Hicks led the 5K runners with a time of 19:06.  Jim Heller was the lone
first place finisher in his age category.  Ed Loh and David Hicks finished 2nd and Linda Dobson 3rd in their age
categories
     A total of 793 runners finished the 10K, 906 finished the 5K run and 377 finished the 5K walk.  The total of 2076
is the most ever to participate in the race.  The 793 running the 10K was the most since 1100 ran in 1993.  This was the
30th annual Seal Beach run. 
       The following runners have ran at least the last 4 races:  Nelson Slagle, last 28 races; Rich Terrell, last 7 races;
Bob Beachler, last 4 races; and Tony Trujillo, last 4 races.

26 BOEING RUNNERS RUN THE SEAL BEACH 5K/10K IN 2003
     Twenty-six Boeing runners ran or walked in the Seal Beach 5K or 10K on April 5, 2003.  Fifthteen ran
the 10K and ten ran the 5K.  A record of 1683 participated in the two races eclipsing the 1297 that ran in
April 1988.   The 1013 5K runners smashed the prior record of 626 last year.  The 670 10K finishers was
the best since 682 finishers in April 1994. 
     The day was cool, windy and sunny.  For the second consecutive year we ran around the Boeing
facility instead of through the Navy Base.
     Seven Boeing runners finished in the top 5 of their age group.  The only 1st place finisher was Jim
Heller.  Third place finishes were recorded by Ed Cohn, Ken Saxton, Sue Robbins and Ann Tack.  Fourth 
place finishes were recorded by Linda Dobson,  and Garland Smith.
