SLAG, BOB THOMAS, BOB SCHOLL FINISH 1-2-3
The top three predictors all finished with an above average score in the last week as upsets ruled.  Odds
favored 5 road teams but 8 road teams won.  While most predictors got 6 or 7 games correct, Bob Koller
predicted 9 correct and Gerry Hamilton and Andrew Coates had 8 correct picks and they were top 3 in the final week.
Nelson Slagle hung on to win by 32 points over Bob Thomas for his record setting 8th victory in 37 years of
predicting, but first in the last 7 years.   We have had 7 different predictors winning in the .  last 7 years.  The 32 point
winning margin was the largest since 1999 when Gerry Hamilton won by 46 points.  Bob Thomas recorded his
first second place finish since 1986.  Congrats Bob on a great predicting season.
Bob Koller won Predictor of the Week honors for the 3rd time.  His key pick was Minnesota over Memphis.
Gerry Hamilton and Dick Hammerstrom used Kobe Bryant's rediculous exploits to gain a spot(s) in the standings
in the final second of the regular season.  Kobe sunk a 25 footer at the buzzer in the 2nd overtime after making a
miracle 25 foot shot putt under heavy duress in the final second to force the first overtime.
NBA playoff predictions are due prior to the first game of the playoffs.
Thanks to all 13 who predicted this season.
