POW CAP SCHOLLWINS 2009 BASKETBALL PREDICTIONS
Cap Scholl won the Basketball Predictions for the 6th time.  Bob finished 139 points ahead
of Bob Thomas.  This was the 2nd most points anyone has ever won the basketball predictions.
The record was 147 by Cap Scholl over Jim Slagle in 1973.  Cap also has the 3rd most, beating
Nelson by 108  in 2003.   Cap (6 wins), Nelson (11 wins) and Gerry Hamilton (6 wins)
have won 23 of the 42 annual predictions.  Cap and Nelson have won 6 of last 7 years.
Cap beat the Odds by 83  points, the 2nd worst beating the Odds have taken in 15 years of tracking.
If the Odds would have been counted as a predictor they would have won 10 of the last 15 years,
finished 2nd 4 times and 7th once (last year when Nelson beat them by a record 107 points).
Bob Thomas finished 2nd for the 3rd time.   The other 3 predictors finishing 2nd as often are Nelson,
(8 times), Cap (5) and Jim Slagle (3).
Bob Stanley picked 11 winners and Bob Thomas picked 10 winners in week 15.  Bob Stanley was
predictor of the week by 34 points.  He was the only predictor to pick wins by Toronto over Chicago
and Sacramento over Minnesota.
Playoffs start Saturday, April 18th.  Predictions instructions sent earlier.
