JIM SLAGLE
IS THE 2001 BASKETBALL PREDICTING CHAMP
Jim Slagle struggled a bit the last
two weeks, but still won the 2001 basketball predicting
championship. Jim grabbed the lead in week 10 and
led each of the last six weeks of the
season. In the first nine weeks we had four different
leaders and only Gerry Hamilton of
those ended in the top four. Jim also won the basketball
title in 1992 besting 26 other pre-
dictors. He was 2nd in 1975. Jim also won 1983 football.
Jim ran the basketball predicts
from 1974 to 1976 before e-mail and personal computers, back
in the dark ages! Congrats
Jim on winning the title.
Congrats to Bob Thomas for being POW
for the 2nd consecutive week and 4th time of the
year. Bob was the only one to move up a place in the last
week to finish in the top 10!
Only 38 points separated the top 5.
Good week to make a move as there were a lot of
upsets. Nine of ten erroneously picked even Orlando over
Miami. Only 3 of 10 picked favored
Vancouver over Golden State. The Odds finished ahead of
everyone again this year.
NBA playoffs start Saturday morning
. Be sure to get your NBA predicts in before start of
first game. The form is the last file in the 3rd column
of basketball predictions.
Thanks to all who predicted this season
and especially those of you that stuck it out to the end.
Good luck in the playoffs to all of you.
