15 points with his 2nd place prediction on Michigan.  Gerry had Michigan 1st.  No one else had Michigan
BLAKE VASQUEZ WINS NCCA PREDICTS BY 40.5 OVER 2ND PLACE WAYNE GEISER in their top four.  Michigan won the finals over Rutgers 62-55.  No one picked Rutgers in their top four.  
       Blake Vasquez continued to increase his lead with each game and ended up finishing 40.5 points ahead of Wayne Geiser in the first half
of the NCAA/NBA playoffs predictions.  Rounding out the top five were Bob Koller, Jim Slagle. And Bob Stanley.   Blake was the only predictor GERRY HAMILTON CLINCHES NIT PREDICTIONS
to pick Connecticut to win the tournament.  Wayne and Bob Scholl picked Connecticut 2nd.  Bob Koller and Bob Thomas had Georgia Tech 7th while three predictors       Gerry Hamilton clinched the NIT predictions after three rounds.  The semi-finals are March 30th and the finals
had them 8th.  NBA playoffs probably start on Friday, April 16.  Bob Thomas was closest on the tiebreaker missing the final combined score by a single point. are April 1st at Madison Square Garden in NYC.  Only Gerry's 2nd pick failed to win two games.  His first pick, Michigan, 
has won three games and is one of only 4 teams left in the tournament.  The semi-finals are Rutgers vs Iowa State and

       With four teams left, Blake Vasquez leads Wayne Geisler by 31.5 points and 3rd place Bob Stanley by 38 points.  Bob Scholl, Jim Slagle and Blake to a tie for 2nd and if Michigan wins the tournament Jim will finish 2nd.  No one has Rutgers and Iowa State in their 4 selection.
Vasquez all have 4 of their top 8 teams left.  Bob Koller has 4 of his top 7 teams left!.  Bob Scholl, Rick Higgins  and Blake Vasquez have 3 of their top 4 teams remaining. Only Nelson Slagle has Oregon (4th) in his top four.

    With eight teams left, Blake  Vasquez leads Wayne Geisler by 16.50 points and 3rd place Bob Stanley by 28.5 points.  Blake has clinched the first half      Gerry Hamilton and Bob Koller's four picks all won their first game and they are tied for first with 10 points.  Jim Slagle is
of the NCAA/NBA playoffs predictions.  Blake (7th), Wayne (8th) and Dick Hammerstrom (16th) were the only predictors to select Xavier in their top third with 8 points and Bob Thomas 4th with 7 points.  Marquette was the most picked team (6) with Utah State 2nd with 
16 teams.  No one has Alabama in their top 16.  Blake and Martin Visser also have Xavier as their wild card team and are the only predictors with a 5 picks.  Unfortunately for 5 predictors, the 25th ranked Utah State lost their first game.  Nine of 16 teams.

BLAKE VASQUEZ LEADS WAYNE GEISLER BY 5 AFTER TWO ROUNDS
     After the first two rounds, Blake Vasquez leads Wayne Geisler by 5 points.  Phil Hensley is 3rd, 15 points out of first.  Only four predictors have their
wild card team in the sweet 16.  Blake and Martin Visser both have Xavier, Phil Hensley has Illinois and Wayne Geisler has Pittsburgh.
      No one had Nevada, UAB, or Alabama in their final 16 or as a wild card pick.
MARTIN VISSER HAS NARROW LEAD AFTER ROUND ONE
       Only 9 points separate first from last after the first round of the NCAA.  Seven predictors  had all 16 picks win their first game and 5 others had their first 15 teams win.
Round 2 will likely shake up the standings.  Martin Visser has a 1/2 point lead thanks to his pick of 7th seeded Xavier as his wild card team.   Jim Henning and Al Manzey are 1/2 point
behind with Wisconsin (6th seed) as their wild card team.   Nine of 16 predictors have their wild card team remaining.  23 of 28 teams picked as the top 16 picks won their first game.
16 NCCA PICKS - 6 PICK KENTUCKY, 5  DUKE AND 4 STANFORD
      In a wide open tournament with no clear favorites, 15 of our 16 predictors picked either Kentucky, Duke or Stanford to win the NCAA tourney.
28 different teams were in someone's sweet 16.  Nine different teams were picked for a wildcard team with Arizona and 
Wisconsin being picked 3 times.  GOOD LUCK.
