| BOB KOLLER WINS FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS BY 103 POINTS OVER 2ND PLACE - BOB THOMAS POW | ||||||||||||
| Bob Koller beat 2nd place Mark Johnson by 103 points to win the 2005 Football Predictions. This is the largest margin of victory | ||||||||||||
| since 1995 when Mark Johnson defeated 2nd place Nelson Slagle by a record 151 points. Bob is the 18th different winner in the | ||||||||||||
| 39 year history of the contest. Bob is the second new winner since Bob Stanley won 18 years ago in 1987. Jerry Slagle won his | ||||||||||||
| first football predictions in 1998. Bob and Mark picked the correct winner 72.64% of the time which is the highest % since 1979 | ||||||||||||
| when the Odds picked 75.5% winners and Nelson Slagle picked 75.4% winners. Only once since 1979 has anyone ever picked | ||||||||||||
| more than 70% winners. | ||||||||||||
| In addition, this is Bob Koller's 3rd season of predicting football. That makes him the winner is his 3rd year | ||||||||||||
| the fewest of any winner since 1980 when Ray Rodgers won in his 2nd year of predicting. Bob also broke up the | ||||||||||||
| streak of Mark Johnson and Nelson Slagle who have won the last 5 years of football predictions. | ||||||||||||
| Bob Thomas was the only predictor to pick 13 of the 16 games correct and was Predictor of the Week. Phil Hensley picked | ||||||||||||
| 12 winners and the remaining predictors picked 11 or fewer winners. Bob's only misses were wins by Denver, Green Bay and St. Louis. | ||||||||||||
| Congrats Bob Koller! Thanks to all who participated this season. | ||||||||||||
