| JIM HENNING EDGES DICK HAMMERSTROM TO WIN 2006 TITLE - DEB POW | ||||||||||||
| Jim Henning was correct on two of the three games he disagreed with Dick | ||||||||||||
| Hammerstrom and finished 11 points ahead of Dick and 15 ahead of 3rd place Nelson | ||||||||||||
| Slagle. Fourth place was 87 points behind third. Jim picked wins by Kansas City and St | ||||||||||||
| Louis while Dick was correct on New England's win. Nelson and Jim had the same 16 | ||||||||||||
| winners. Deb Cummings was Predictor of the Week for the third time as she had 12 | ||||||||||||
| wins. The two gals were the top two predictors this week. | ||||||||||||
| Three predictors easily beat the Odds this year. This is only the 3rd time in the | ||||||||||||
| last 20 years that the Odds haven't been in the top 3. They would have been first | ||||||||||||
| 10 of the last 20 years. | ||||||||||||
| Jim Henning was the 19 different predictor to win in the 40 year history of the | ||||||||||||
| contest but only the 3rd new predictor since 1987. | ||||||||||||
| Predictors picked the winning team 61.44% of the time which is the lowest % since | ||||||||||||
| 2000 when the winning % was 60.56 | ||||||||||||
| Randy Lang finished 15th but picked the most winners. This is the lowest finishing | ||||||||||||
| player ever to pick the most wins. The prior record was by John Drew who finished | ||||||||||||
| 10th in 1998 and picked the most wins. | ||||||||||||
