ANDREW COATES FIRST PREDICTOR TO WIN CONSECUTIVE TIGER MAJOR PREDICTION TITLE
Andrew Coates correctly predicted Tiger to win 0 majors in 2011 and was closest in strokes out of first in the tournaments he didn't win by predicting
23 vs the final of 19.  His four stroke miss was two closer than Al Manzey and John Wilford.  Nine of 13 correctly picked Tiger to win 0 majors in
2011.   Three of the four predictors picking Tiger to win 1 Major were within 2 strokes of the 19 out of first with Nolie Carman being exactly correct.
Andrew became the first predictor to win the Tiger predictions in two straight years.  Jim 'Ohio" Slagle is the only predictor to win three times.
Nelson finished In the top 4 for the 5th straight year to move into 2nd in the cum predicts averaging a 5.25 finish, slightly behind John Baker's 4.0
  average.
FOUR OF 13 PREDICT TIGER TO WIN ONE MAJOR IN 2011
Four of 13 predictors pick Tiger to win four majors in 2011 while nine predicted Tiger to win 0 majors.  The strokes out of first vary from
13 to 38, but 7 are in the 23-30 range with 3 predicting 0 majors and 28 strokes out of first.
After Tiger finishes 4 out in the Masters all 13 predictors can still win.

ANDREW COATES WINS 2010 TIGER 'MAJOR' PREDICTS
Andrew Coates won the 2010 Tiger 'Major' Prediction title.  He was one of 7 predictors to pick Tiger to win 0 majors in 2010 and won
on the tiebreaker.  Andrew's prediction of 27 strokes out of first for Tiger in the four majors was 3 off of the final 30 tally and 7 closer than
runner up Hal Berger.  Andrew is the 9th different winner in the 11 years of predictions.
John Baker is the leading predictor for those predicting at least 3 years averaging 5th place as noted in the next to last column.
Brett Carman is 2nd averaging 5.67 place.  The first 14 predictors all average under 8th place.
Tiger has now not won any of the last 11 majors, the longest winless stretch in the last 11 years.

JERRY SLAGLE WINS 2009 TIGER MAJOR PREDICTIONS
After 3 majors all places have been determined thanks to Tigers worst Major Performance year since 2004.  Tiger missed the cut for the
British Open by a stroke and was 10 strokes out of first after the 2nd round behind 59 year old Tom Watson.  Watson defeated
Nicklaus in 1977 (Woods was about 2!) to win the British Open in one of the great golf matches in the history of golf.
All 14 predictors guessed Tiger would win at least one major in 2009 thus the predictor with the most strokes out of first prediction
was the winner.  Jerry predicted Tiger would win 1 major and his tiebreaker was 17 strokes which was 3 strokes under Tigers performance
in the 4 majors.  That prediction was one stroke better than runner up Dick Hammerstrom.  None of the other predictors had a tiebreaker over 10.
Brett Carman is the leading predictor over the years per right column above.  Gerry Hamilton (3rd) is best cum predictor that predicted in 2009.
Tiger stats going into 2009 PGA:
1- Wins 29% of tournaments entered.  Michelson is next best of current golfers at 9%.
2- Tiger is 8 for 8 after leading a major after 36 holes
3- Tiger is 14 for 14 after leading majors after 54 holes.
4- He has won at least 1 major in 4 straight years.  No one has ever won a major in 5 straight years
5- Tiger has won 14 majors.  Nicklaus leads with 18 majors.
6- Tiger is 53 stroke under par in the PGA tournament since 1997.  Sergio Garcia is next best at -3.
7- Tiger won 6 majors in last four years, none the two prior years (2004 and 2003) and 6 in the prior 3 years (2001-3)
8- Tiger won all 5 tourneys he entered a week or two before the four majors in 2009, but was 0 for 4 in the majors.
NOLIE CARMAN WINS 2008 TIGER PREDICTS
Since Tiger's knee surgery will cause Tiger to miss the last two majors of the year
Nolie Carman wins the predicts with a guess of 2 majors and 5 strokes out of first.  Five
predictors also guessed 2 majors and 6-8 strokes out of first.  Nolie also won the predicts
in 2000. Jim 'Ohio' Slagle has won 3 times while  Gerry Hamilton has won twice and was 2nd this year.
GERRY HAMILTON WINS 2007 TIGER MAJOR PREDICTIONS
Gerry Hamilton, Rick Higgins and Nelson Slagle were the only predictors to correctly
pick Tiger to win one major in 2007.  Gerry Hamilton won the tie breaker with his predict
of 10 strokes out of 1st on majors not won.  That was one stroke closer then runner-up
Rick Higgins.  Gerry won this contest for the 2nd time, 2nd to Jim 'Ohio' Slagle's 3 wins.
RANDY LANG IS 2006 'TIGER MAJOR' PREDICTOR CHAMP
Tiger won the last two majors of the 2006 season.  Eight of the 14 predictors picked Tiger to win two
majors.  Randy Lang was closest to Tigers' strokes out of first in the two tournaments he didn't win.  Randy guessed
13 which was 3 short of the actual 16.  Jim Ohio Slagle and Blake Vasquez tied for 2nd missing
the stroke tiebreaker by 5.  Nelson was correct on the tie breaker but one short on the major predict.
Jim 'Ohio' Slagle has 3 1st' and a 2nd in 7 years of predicting the contest.
JIM 'OHIO' SLAGLE WINS TIGER 2005 PREDICTS
Tiger finished with two wins and two strokes out in the other majors.  Thus the tie breaker was 4
strokes.  No one predicted Tiger would win two tournaments thus the lowest stroke guess and one major
victory was the winner.  Jim 'Ohio' Slagle guessed 14 to beat runner up Bob Stanley who guessed 16.
JIM SLAGLE WINS 2004 TIGER MAJORS PREDICTIONS
Jim Slagle, Calif correctly predicted Tiger to win 0 majors in 2004 and finish 27 strokes out of first to
win the 5th annual Tiger Major predictions.  John Baker and Al Manzey also predicted Tiger would win 0
majors but their strokes out of first were 16 and 14 respectively to place them 2nd and 3rd.
Andrew Coates had the best strokes out of first guess (30) followed by Jim (27).
Jim Slagles have won 3 of the 5 Tiger predictions.  Jim 'Ohio" Slagle won in 2000 and 2002.
SLAG WINS 2003 TIGER MAJOR PREDICTIONS.  BOB KOLLER & TIM MOORE TIE FOR 2ND
Tiger failed to win any of the 4 majors in 2003 to give Nelson Slagle the prediction contest.  Nelson predicted
Tiger would win one major and everyone else guessed 2 or 3.  Of those that guessed two majors
Bob Koller and Tim Moore tied for most strokes out of first as they both guessed 13.
Tiger finished a total of 38 strokes out of first.
Only 3 predictors picked the Tiger Major predicts all 4 years.  Nelson Slagle is ahead of his brother Jim Slagle by
one place in the cum predicts. Brett leads the three year predictors followed by Gerry Hamilton. Tim Moore has
finished 1st and 2nd in his two years of predicting.
TIM MOORE AND JIM SLAGLE TIE IN TIGER 2002 PREDICTIONS
Tiger finished 1 stroke back in the 4th major of the year thanks to 4 straight birdies to finish the last round.
He ended up winning 2 majors and was 7 combined strokes back in the other 2 events.  This left Jim Slagle, Ohio
and Tim Moore tied for first.  They both guessed 2 majors and 6 and 8 strokes out respectively.  Rounding out the top
five were: 3-  Jerry Slagle, 4- Dick Hammerstrom and 5- Gabe Maxwell.
Jim Slagle leads the three year Tiger predictions as he has total places of 10 including two wins in three
years.  Jerry is 2nd and Al Manzey is 3rd overall for those predicting all four years.

JIM OHIO SLAGLE AND NOLIE CARMAN WIN 2000 TIGER PREDICTS
Jim Slagle, Ohio and Nolie Carman were the winners of the first annual Tiger Predicts.  Tiger
won 3 of 4 majors.  Jim and Nolie both predicted he would win two majors and they missed the
total strokes he would be out of first in the other tournaments by 1 stroke.  Brett Carman was the
only other predictor to guess Tiger would win 2 majors.  Six predictors guessed Tiger would
win one major tournament.
